Why give?

The difference doula care can make in a moms life is PRICELESS! Many moms who really need doula support cannot afford it. Your donation will impact her and her baby for a lifetime.

I want to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, and with YOUR help I can do that.

Ways your donation will make an impact:

  • a single mom who doesn’t have family support in early postpartum can be supported and cared for

  • a mom whose husband has to go back to work soon after delivery won’t be left feeling alone

  • a mom that can’t afford a birth doula can be educated and prepare for an empowering birth

  • a mom planning a cesarean can have extra support and care after going through surgery

Giving FAQs

  • It all depends on who I have inquiring about doula services, their needs, and how quickly they need it. Some moms may only need postpartum support, and others may need birth services. With the Holy Spirit’s guidance, I will do my best to help as many families possible in their time of need. As I’m able to, I will share about the women I’m able to help. I want our community to see just how important and impactful supporting new moms and babies can be.(Sharing will be anonymous unless the client gives permission to give detail.)

  • No I am not. This business is used to serve women while also providing for my family. However, by donating to Ember of Light, you are directly sending funds to serve prenatal or postpartum moms who cannot afford doula services on their own.

  • Our society tries to downplay how important a woman’s birth experience. However, most women will tell you the way they feel about their births impact them for the rest of their lives. Doula support is not just physical care. Its emotional and spiritual support through the beautiful moments AND the hard moments of entering motherhood.

The moms who are unable to afford the cost of doula care are usually the ones who need it MOST. They may be single, low income, trying to provide for other children, or maybe they aren’t single, but they just don’t have enough to invest toward their birth. Every mom deserves to feel cared for through birth and postpartum.
